La grulla (The Crane) tells the story of Dr. Gris, who, guided by his dreams of a city on the sea, ivory ports and tiger forests, embarks on a journey with five dwarfs after receiving an unexpected assignment. This story opens the work La Trampa (The Trap) and offers a dreamlike, yet critical vision of our city life. An existence affirmed in the illusion of joy and free will, but always condemned to monotony; destined to fail in the face of the indecipherable forces of nature.

La grulla narra la historia del doctor Gris, quien guiado por sus sueños de una cuidad en el mar, puertos de marfil y bosques de tigres, emprende un viaje junto a cinco enanos tras haber recibido una encomienda inesperada. Dando inicio a la obra La Trampa, este cuento propone una visión onírica, pero a la vez crítica, de nuestra vida citadina. Una existencia afirmada en la ilusión de alegría y libre albedrío, mas siempre condenada a la monotonía; destinada a fracasar frente a las indescifrables fuerzas de la naturaleza.
